Artistic Statement

The strongest tool ever made by humanity, is one powerful enough to convince people to blow a hole in the earth. A tool capable of moving the masses, a tool that can unite or destroy, ignite individuals to push through the swarm. Fight for what they believe in, or love harder than stone itself. This thing has the ability to bring fantasies to life, or make life a fantasy. 

Stories are told, and stories are listened to, but the power each one holds is lesser to none. 

The responsibilities of what stories are told, is one that should not be looked over, But even more important, is to find the stories that must be told. To dive deep into the ever-changing world, below the surface, through each household. Stories are capable of change, stories are capable of love. Stories are individuals, passed down by memories, memories are glimpses of the past and the present and I choose to tell. Speak on what should be seeked, show what needs to be told. 

My ancestors are below ground but the movement I use is from the ground up. Grounded, earthy, human, extreme. I tell stories how they are, raw. Manipulating each movement to portray the emotions being told. I aim to show and tell the human experiences through my movement language. The extreme physicality seen, unbothered by what's possible, and pushing through limits. 

I aim to bring fantasies to life, or make life a fantasy by making the unbelievable, believable and the believable, unbelievable
